With a natural love for all things fashion, it should come as no surprise that he debuted his fashion line, DW, during Paris Fashion Week 2011. This line was dedicated to his late mother Donda West, and has been subject to mixed reviews. Despite his cocky reputation, Kanye was notably humbled. “I’m so scared, I’m so nervous,” he told the press after the show. “The biggest conversation I hope I can end tonight is whole ‘celebrity designer’ thing. That’s the biggest hurdle when you want to get amazing people to work for you.”

Well Kanye, you have created a line of clothing that the up to date stylista can appreciate. This line is for the trendy shopper who loves to play with angles, classic cuts, sex appeal and trends. Some of my favorite looks are the color blocked pants, deep plunging black dress and cut out maxi dress. These looks will pair well with other separates and can be used to create a casual or rocker glam look. For a first try, this line is not to edgy yet far from safe. I believe that additional lines will allow Kanye to show off his creative vision! Welcome to the wonderful world of fashion DW!
