Tie-dye became fashionably popular in the late 1960′s and early 1970′s as part of the hippie style. Tie-dye comes in many patterns and is usually very colorful. It has been viewed as a very casual and laid-back look, ideal for music festivals and nights by the bonfire. In today’s modern fashion world, tie-dye has elevated its style to becoming more edgy and polished. There are many ways to wear tie-dye. Tie-dye is most flattering when worn as a maxi dress, a crop top, skinny jeans, or a scarf. Celebrities such as Fergie know how to make it work.

To achieve this look, pair up your chosen tie-dye shirt with denim high waist shorts in a medium wash. Add a skinny, brown leather belt as an accent. Throw on leather gladiator sandals to compliment the belt, or you can kick it with heels. Carry an off-the-shoulder bag to keep your hands free. Finally, dazzle your ears with feather earrings and complete the outfit with a large statement ring!
