The BET Awards is an annual awards show that honors the arts, more so music. Kelly Rowland has been continuously daunting her new style. She wowed onlookers in this fuschia and hot pink dress, adorned with an asymmetrical row of ruffled bursts, a Marchesa signature. Kelly went for the unexpected, pattern clashing in nude cut out pumps. Simple silver hoops and a matching clutch calm this sultry look.

KeKe Palmer in Mandalay

KeKe has grown into a sophisticated woman, which is duly reflected in her sense of style. She chose an age appropriate silver and black blocked mini dress. Ms. Palmer went for the less is more look with sequins pumps and no jewels.

 

MC Lyte

MC Lyte, also the host of the awards, awed us with an androgynous look. She is the perfect example of how to execute wearing white. It is all about the tailoring and fit. She accessorized with gunmetal wedges and a simple tiered necklace.

 

Mary J Blige in Herve Leger

Although Herve Leger is falling into the been there done that category, it can still be worn if worn well. Mary proved that she still has it, debuting her tight figure. Herve Leger is adding rocker chic accents and sensual cut outs to their dresses, creating a more unique appeal. Mary wore t-strap white pumps and silver jewels to complete her look.

 

LaLa Vasquez in Tom Ford

LaLa usually looks overworked, however she maintained and effortless appeal in this silver metallic long sleeved dress. The color and fit compliment her silhouette. She accessorized with black ribbon satin sandals and a simple cocktail ring. The tight ponytail continues the runway feel.

 

Michelle Williams in BCBG Max Azria

Michelle looked regal in this royal purple dress. The draping and color accent her petite frame. A subtle beaded corner enhances this cocktail dress. She accessorized with metallic iridescent cut out sandals and a gold clutch.
