Mary: Vintage Pic of the Week 1970’s Guru
Mary is one of the few students in the Design and Merchandising program who intrigues me with her style and array of item in her closet. She always combines the old with the new, which is key to achieving a distinct look and style. Mary is obsessed with thefashion from the 1970’s and has a closet full of bell bottoms, shoes, and accessories from that era! Around her neck is one of the key pieces women would wear to nightclubs and discos around the late 1970’s; a lace neck brace/scarf. She combined it with a simple LBD (Little Black Dress) from American Apparel. This is my favorite part of the outfit because the dress is plain yet sexy. You can do anything you want when it comes to accessories! She bought this “straight from the 1960′s” hat from a vintage consignment shop called Retrospect on South Street in Philadelphia, P.A!
