Over in London, England celebrities crossed the pond to attend the 2010 Elle Style Awards. On Monday Febraury 22nd, London’s Grand Connaught Room was filled with stylish stars who appreciate art and individuality. There are celebrities that many would nominate missing in action, however the attendees lived up to the name behind the awards.
Naomi Campbell
Alexander McQueen Dress
“Won Outstanding Contribution Award”
Naomi has been dedicating her wardrobe to the late Alexander McQueen these days. This multi color and multi pattern mini dress is fun yet chic. The color placement and structure of the dress is bold yet not overwhelming. She paired the dress with simple black pumps and straight black hair. A very chic couture look indeed.
Corinne Bailey Rae
Diane von Furstenberg Jumpsuit
Corinne has reappeared after the untimely death of her husband. She looks regal and radiant in this 3/4 jumpsuit. The draping effect on the neck and pant are ideal for her slim figure. The pewter color looks warm against her skin. She also kept it simple with black pumps and a studded black clutch.
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen
Christian Lacroix and Fendi Platforms
Lanvin Gown and Bulgari Jewels
“Won Style Icons of 2010 Awards”
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are known for donning haute couture pieces down both the street and runway. Ashley looked fresh in this crinoline gown paired with unexpected Fendi platforms. The faint blue color through out the train on the v neck detail is charming against the nude color and her skin. Ashley looked sophisticated in this black Lanvin gown. The mini dress transitioning into a long gown is a popular trend this season. Her long gold locks and black gloves complete the look.
Leona Lewis
Alexander McQueen Dress
Leona Lewis appeared sophisticated and mature in this Alexander McQueen knee lenght dress. The keyhole and shoulder details are current and flattering. She accessorized with a Parisian barrette and lace gloves to add flare to the dress. The nude heels brighten the ensemble, a great touch.
Kristin Stewart
Emilio Pucci Dress
“Won Style Woman of the Year Award”
Many people may wonder why Kristen Stewart won the style woman of the year award. Our thoughts; although Kristen may not live on the red carpet or wear extravagant gowns or jewels, her look is effortless and genuine. The corset bodice of this dress is semi flashy yet perfect for her collarbone. The grey pocketed skirt compliments the corset top. Paired with simple strappy heels, minimal makeup and jewels; this rocker chic look is a simple as it is pleasant.
